The current smart device generation compromises the user’s safety. The focus is mostly on the user’s experience, paying a steep price of exposing it to frauds and cyber-crimes. The way in which these devices are built, demands a change in the paradigm that allows real security while keeping an excellent user’s experience.
With that in mind, Sirin Labs has announced the development of a smartphone and a PC designed to work with Blockchain technology. Both devices will have integrated capabilities of shared resources that will be executed in their own cryptocurrency token.
The FINNEY devices are the first smartphone and PC with Blockchain protection. They offer the same functionality of the Android Operating System, in addition to a series of cyber-security technologies that will provide users with a safe and reliable access.
It will have an extremely safe wallet for cold storage cryptocurrencies, to ensure the safety, in addition to a great Blockchain technology. You can use the devices as a sharing center, for example: If you and I were travelling and I ran out of battery, you could share yours with me in exchange for tokens, or I could share my data plan with someone else for some tokens.
This are the technology specs for both devices:
- 5.5 display
- 64 GB internal storage
- 6GB RAM
- Wi-Fi 802.11ac
- BT 5.0
- 12 MP Main camera
- 13 MP selfie camera
- 24 inch (diagonal) 2K Display
- Biometric security sensors
- 8GB Memory
- 256GB storage
- Wi-Fi 802.11ac
The technology behind the phone and the PC will be launched as an open source. The smartphone list price is $999 USD, while the PC is listed at $799.
Sirin Labs has also created its own token, the SRN, which you can acquire through its website and use it during the presale to reserve your FINNEY device, although the company will also accept fiat currency and popular cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum. The token holders will be the only ones allowed to buy the devices.
Finney represents a true attempt to empower cryptocurrency owners with a device created for their specific needs. It is as pricey as an iPhoneX, but designed for a completely different user.
